In 2023 -2024,The Government Budgetthe government proposed an additional allocation of HKD 300 million to extend the existing "IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools" initiative. From the 2023/24 to 2025/26 school years, each publicly funded secondary school will continue to receive up to HKD 1 million in funding to organize extracurricular activities related to information technology.
"IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools" The funding enables each secondary school to organize extracurricular activities related to information technology, such as courses, workshops, and competitions in areas including artificial intelligence (AI), programming, drones, robotics, augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain. These activities aim to enhance students’ engagement and foster a stronger atmosphere for IT learning on campus.
