STEAM School Service Plan

STEAM Program for Students with Special Educational Needs

An innovative STEAM program focused on technology education for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Special Educational Needs

The nine categories of Special Educational Needs (SEN)

According to the Equal Opportunities Commission’s report titled “Study on Equal Learning Opportunities for Students with Disabilities under the Inclusive Education System,” Special Educational Needs (SEN) can be broadly categorized into nine main types:

Our Teaching Objectives

Program Objective 1

Through technology-based learning, enhance the independent living and working skills of SEN students, enabling them to live and work more autonomously.

Program Objective 2

Through hands-on practical activities, strengthen the motor skills of SEN students to better equip them in facing challenges in daily life and work.

Program Objective 3

Through the application of technology, enhance the future employability skills of SEN students, enabling them to integrate more easily into the workplace.

Program Objective 4

Apply skills to everyday life to improve their quality of living.

Apply skills to everyday life to improve their quality of living.

Assist throughout the entire application process and provide customized courses tailored to your needs.

SEN STEAM Projects

There are many other types of workshops available and cannot all be listed here. If you are interested, please contact our education consultants for more information.

IoT Smart Home

Through hardware devices and expert guidance, enhance STEM skills and hands-on abilities, focusing on understanding how technology can solve everyday challenges. This approach helps students build confidence and foster innovative thinking.

Dobot Smart Robotic Arm

Assist SEN students in using remote control and programming to operate robotic arms to complete tasks, helping them learn how to handle technological devices to accomplish work assignments, thereby enhancing their employability and practical job skills.

CoSpaces VR Virtual Reality Environment

Assist SEN students in enhancing their sense of presence through virtual reality environments by simulating real-life and work scenarios to enrich their experiences and improve life skills. At the same time, they can unleash unlimited imagination and develop creativity within the virtual space.

Vincibot Robot

Through programming-controlled robots, help overcome real-world human limitations. Focus on training logical thinking and cultivating problem-solving skills.

Science and Engineering Robotics

Course Highlights:

  • Observe, learn, and explore various scientific and technological principles found in everyday life.
  • Learn hands-on experimentation, model building, and programming to develop practical skills and proficiency with tools.
  • Cultivate creative thinking and a scientific mindset through thematic activities.

Beginner Level: Simple Science Experiments

Through experiments and hands-on projects, SEN students gain an understanding of scientific principles in everyday life while enhancing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Advanced Level: Engineering Robotics Construction

Through thematic learning, students are required to identify and analyze problems, then develop corresponding solutions. Facing challenges and issues during the construction process helps cultivate their problem-solving skills.
