IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools
"IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools" is an initiative launched by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) of the Hong Kong SAR Government. It aims to enhance secondary students’ information technology skills and interest.
Initially introduced for the 2020/21 to 2022/23 school years, the program provides up to HKD 1 million in funding to each publicly funded secondary school. The funding supports the upgrading of school IT infrastructure—such as servers, VR devices, and 3D printers—as well as the organization of extracurricular activities related to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, programming, and blockchain workshops.
The initiative lays a strong IT foundation for students during their secondary education and promotes the development of STEM education. The program has since been extended to cover the 2023/24 to 2025/26 school years, continuing its support for innovation and technology education in schools.

IoT Smart Planting System
Each smart planting system includes 16 growing slots, multiple sensors, and a mobile app for intelligent control. Connected to the cloud via Wi-Fi, it enables users to manage and optimize growing conditions in a hydroponic environment.
Micro:bit AIoT Smart Home
By combining Micro:bit with its expansion boards, sensors, and craft materials, students will build a smart home model. They will learn how to apply various sensors and develop advanced programming skills to create AI-powered smart devices that enhance everyday living.

AI x No-Code Entrepreneurship Course
Explore the revolutionary changes brought by AI, understand its capabilities, and learn how to leverage AI for software development and entrepreneurship projects. Gain insights into the core principles of AI and business startups.
Generative AI Picture Book Creation
This course guides students to explore generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI). Through ChatGPT and Leonardo AI, students will learn text generation and image creation techniques to produce unique AI-generated picture books, culminating in an oral presentation.
Generative AI Applications in Daily Life
ChatGPT is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) language model that generates responses based on user inputs. It can answer questions, provide explanations, engage in conversations, and offer recommendations.
Micro:bit AI
Gain an understanding of AI theory, trends, and practical applications. Through the use of the HuskyLens — an extension module for Micro:bit — students will learn AI programming techniques. With AI technology, the system can recognize various colors, faces, and objects.
Scratch AI
This course centers on Scratch 3.0 and integrates the "Machine Learning for Kids" platform to guide students in exploring the principles and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Students will create animations and games as part of their learning experience.
Raspberry Pi Smart Robotic Dog
This course focuses on the Puppy Pi smart robotic dog, guiding students through hardware assembly and Python programming. Students will learn mechanical principles and machine learning to develop an intelligent guide dog equipped with movement, obstacle avoidance, gesture recognition, and voice recognition capabilities.
Raspberry Pi Robot Building
This course uses Raspberry Pi as a platform to guide students in assembling a smart robotic car. Students will learn Python programming, sensor integration, and basic machine learning to create an eco-friendly robotic vehicle capable of AI-powered waste sorting.
Dobot Smart Robotic Arm
Dobot is a global leader in lightweight robotic arm technology. The Dobot Smart Robotic Arm is a multifunctional system consisting of a movable arm and multiple joints. Equipped with various sensors and tools, it is capable of performing precise and repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
Drone Flight Technology
A drone is an aircraft capable of autonomous flight without a human pilot. In this course, students will learn the principles, operation, and programming control of drones to carry out various tasks such as aerial photography, stunt flying, and even drone competitions.

Roblox Metaverse Game Design
This course uses Roblox Studio as a platform to introduce students to the fun of game design and programming. Students will gradually design interactive environments and characters, and create various tools and games.
MineCraft x Python
This course uses Minecraft Education Edition as a platform to guide students in using Python programming to solve various in-game challenges. It covers fundamental coding concepts such as variables, loops, and conditional statements.
